Are you passionate about sustainability, recycling and upcycling, as well as having a keen eye for fashion and a sense of individual style? If so, we want you!
Attention Attire is seeking an intern to come and join the team in our City Centre workshop, helping us to develop the brand and create new kit from materials other people have foolishly thrown away. The intern will work directly with our lead designer in developing out new styles, as well as assisting in making and manufacturing our pieces for retail.
Duties of this role include (but are not limited to):
• Garment construction
• Accessories construction
• Dismantling recycled textiles
• Fabric sorting
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Basic knowledge of garment construction
• An interest and background in fashion
• An interest and background in sustainability
• Knows their way around a sewing machine!
The internship is based in our workshop in Dublin 1, for two days per week over a 6-month period, November 2018 to April 2019. There is flexibility on days to suit the right candidate. The position is unpaid but expenses incurred will be reimbursed.
